How are my leggings made?

The production process is actually very straightforward; and it’s done so well because the adaptation of the latest design technology, innovation from the supplier and the skill and hard work of the team that work there. 

My products use a printing method called ‘all-over sublimation printing’.

All-over printing submimation is an innovative production process where your design is printed onto paper and then transferred directly onto fabric with heat. 

In this process, the inks are gassed onto the garment using heat presses, so that it covers the entire surface of the garment.

Did you know that sublimation printing saves water in comparison to other forms of fabric dyeing and reduces pollution of freshwater that comes from standard textile dyeing compared to inkjet printing? (You can read more about how the brand's connection to fashion sustainability here.)

My designs are printed on fabric using vegan, cruelty-free ink (see below for more information) which then gets cut and hand-sewn with love into the leggings.

What do you mean by vegan, cruelty free ink?

All items produced by my supplier are void of animal products. The ink that is used is called Kornit Water-based and NeoPigment inks that are Oeko-Tex™ certified, which means they have been scrupulously tested to ensure that they are safe to print on children’s clothing, and reduce environmental waste.

These inks provide a high washing colourfast AATCC rating of 4, meaning the products keep their colour for longer and quality. No dwindling seams, threads or faded colours.

The start-to-finish process:

• The Graphic Designers receives my design file that I've submitted
• The Garment Designers prints the design onto paper
• The design is transferred onto the pre-cut fabric patterns for the product
• The legendary seamstresses takes the coloured patterns and sews them beautifully together
• The thorough Quality Assurance team check it meets the criteria before being packaged
• The Fulfilment Team then pack the order and gets it ready for delivery
• The postal company delivers it to you within 10 working days.
